WASHINGTON — Today, global tech trade association ITI welcomed the introduction of the Information Transparency and Personal Data Control Act in the U.S. House of Representatives by Representative Suzan DelBene (D-WA).

“A comprehensive, national privacy law remains a top policy priority to enable innovation while upholding the individual rights of citizens who entrust companies with their personal data,” said Shannon Taylor, ITI’s Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel, Government Affairs. “We thank Rep. DelBene for advancing this important conversation with her thoughtful and meaningful proposal. We look forward to working with her and other members of Congress to make this kind of law a reality.”
