WASHINGTON — Today, global tech trade association ITI welcomed the action by U.S. President Biden revoking the Trump Administration’s Presidential Proclamation 10014, which had suspended the entry of many intending immigrants who were outside the United States as of April 23, 2020.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, immigrants have continued to contribute to the U.S. economy as essential workers, innovative entrepreneurs, and everything in between, said Jason Oxman, ITI President and CEO. “As such, we welcome President Biden’s action revoking Proclamation 10014. In this spirit, we also urge the Biden Administration to rescind Presidential Proclamation 10052 issued by former President Trump, which suspends entry into the United States for certain nonimmigrants, to further ensure these individuals can continue to contribute to the country’s economic recovery and growth.”
