WASHINGTON – ITI, the global voice of the tech sector, announced today that Jennie Westbrook Courts and Clare Sahin joined its public affairs team as vice president of external affairs and manager of state and local affairs, respectively.

“We are thrilled that Jennie and Clare are joining our growing public affairs team,” said Executive Vice President, Public Affairs Ashley Berrang. “Both Jennie and Clare will provide our members a great deal of value as we advocate for innovation and job creation at the global, national and state level.”

Jennie joins ITI from Precision Strategies, where she worked with tech industry clients to advance their strategic communications goals. She previously worked at Subject Matter, where she guided message development, media relations, and crisis communications for associations, corporations, and non-profits. Prior to joining Subject Matter, Jennie served as the Communications Director for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee under Tom Carper (D-Del.). Jennie earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University.

In her most recent role at Signal Group, Clare represented technology companies before Congress, the administration, and industry groups on issues including cybersecurity, information sharing, STEM workforce development, and trade. Before that, Clare was at McAfee where she supported multi-year legislative strategies and thought leadership campaigns to improve the modernization and defense of federal networks.

Clare will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, expanding ITI’s outreach at the state level. She earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mount Holyoke College.
