Jon Pawlow

Vice President, Government Affairs

Jon Pawlow serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). In this role, Jon is a lead advocate and legislative strategist to the U.S. Congress and executive branch agencies on public sector issues.

Prior to joining ITI, Jon served for nearly fourteen years on Capitol Hill, including more than twelve for House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Chairman Adam Smith. As Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff on Chairman Smith’s congressional office staff, Jon was a senior advisor and manager for Mr. Smith, led a legislative policy team, managed a broad range of critical policy issues and initiatives, and worked very closely with the Armed Services Committee on the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) process and a range of other defense, industrial, and public sector matters.

Preceding his tenure on Capitol Hill, Jon worked outside of government to advance the policy priorities and public affairs objectives of public and nonprofit organizations and was a Virginia Governor’s Fellow. He holds a graduate degree from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia, and completed the Defense Strategy Course at the U.S. Army War College.
