WASHINGTON – The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), the global voice of the tech sector representing the world's leading tech companies, announced it is enhancing its government affairs team with the addition of Jennifer McCloskey as a director of government affairs after her eight year stint as a senior aide to Sen. Robert P. Casey, Jr. (D-Pa.). McCloskey, who most recently served as staff director for Casey on the Senate Finance Committee Subcommittee on Taxation and IRS Oversight, began her new role this week.

"Jennifer is a well-respected Senate staffer who also brings a strong tax policy acumen to ITI's work on behalf of the technology sector," said ITI Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Andy Halataei. "Her background will be an asset as we engage with lawmakers on how the current tax code needs to be reformed to help accelerate innovation and economic growth."

McCloskey's work at ITI will primarily focus on tax policy, as well as outreach to members of the Senate. Prior to her time serving as Casey’s subcommittee staff director, McCloskey served on the Senator’s personal staff as a legislative aide before rising through the ranks to become a senior advisor.
